I'm reading a biography of Aldous Huxley written by one Nicholas Murray. And I just found this entry:
"(...) He warned about the dangers of nuclear weapons, over population, exhaustion of the world's natural resources, militarism, and destructive nationalism. [...] about the corrosive effects of modern consumer capitalism and brainwashing by advertising, about the slow surrender of freedom."
And to think this is what I'm about to devote my life to. I just find this fragment worthy of an ethical reflection...
